The density of the large park of Irchel University is to be tripled in stages by 2050 and the park is to be transformed into a lively city campus by introducing additional functions. The planned increase in density is very realistic.

The proposed interventions will allow the development structure and specific spatial formation of the three areas Mitte, Nord and Süd and the public space of Irchel Park to be preserved and upgraded. In the area Mitte the presence of the institution in Irchel Park can be accentuated with a new urban silhouette and the centre axis can be spatially strengthened with a highpoint and a sequence of spaces.
